This event is sanctioned by Athletics Ontario
Athletics Ontario is the governing body for running and track and field in Ontario.
They are the provincial representative for Athletics Canada which is a member of World Athletics.
What does a sanction mean?
It means that the event has been reviewed by an Athletics Ontario qualified staff member and meets the minimum standards for a safety, insurance, course layout, timing and various other best practices for the operation of a run/walk event. The sanction will also help increase our marketing reach as notification will go to all Athletics Ontario members.
This will help increase our numbers and our donation.
Women’s Resources of Kawartha Lakes, is a not-for-profit, charitable organization created and run by local women. For over 30 years, Women’s Resources has been providing programs throughout the City of Kawartha Lakes to ensure that women and their children, fleeing from abusive situations, can get the help they need to lead lives free of abuse and violence.
The FFTT will be making a donation to this organization.
Our goal is $2000 for 2025.
Volunteers
Volunteers are the life blood of these community events.
We will need several volunteers to take up various positions leading up to and on event day.
Positions such as community signage, pre-event package pickup, race morning registration, course set up, lunch managers and course marshals are open.
All volunteers will receive personalized training, t-shirt, lunch and a personal thank you from the race director.
Special unique prize to the best volunteer.

Our Community
Fenelon Falls is located on the Trent-Severn Waterway and the pristine Cameron Lake. It has a population of 2500 permanent residents, which swells in the summer due to tourism and cottagers.
